We are a diverse group of people who love our Jeeps, love the outdoors and like to do multiple day trips “off road” to areas of historic, archaeological, natural and geological interest. If you can’t get there in your grocery getter you can bet we will get there for sure!
We have three basic requirements for members and they are: You MUST own a Jeep, Jeeps ONLY on our trips and please abide by our By-Laws and SOP’s
Now we are NOT a business, we do this for fun. We are a non-profit organization. None of us get any benefit from any monies collected. There are no charges for trips unless we have to pay for permits or user fees. Sometimes we will offer Chuck Wagon meals, where you pay your share for the cost of the food and everyone pitches in for cooking and clean up. We collect a nominal dues payment each year, HALF of which goes to organizations who are fighting to keep YOUR trails and public lands open. Best of all, members can now get a credit towards up to half their annual dues just for being a trip leader! You cannot go on any other organized Expedition with any outfitter that I know of without paying hundreds or thousands of dollars per person, believe me I have searched the web and got discouraged at the prices that outfitters charge. You can’t play in these playgrounds any cheaper and you get benefit of safety and experience of our group. Jeep Jamborees are nice too but for the price that they charge for one Jeep with two people to do two days in Canyon De Chelly, we can put two to three Jeeps in the canyon with four people in each Jeep for three days. And the ONLY reason we have to charge for this trip is because Navajo Guides are required and we charge you what they charge us.
Most of our members are from Arizona but we are growing and have people from other southwest states like California, Utah, Nevada, Texas and Colorado. Our trips for the most part will be held in the beautiful southwest USA, but we are always looking for new places to go and are always looking for new expedition possibilities for instance in Mexico. Many of our trips are planned based on trails in Charles Wells trail guides which is a must own for any off-road enthusiast.
Some of our trips include:
- El Camino Del Diablo a/k/a The Devils Highway – 2 days, 175 miles on a 400 hundred year old trail full of history
- Canyon De Chelly – a beautiful area full of history, adventure, thousands of archeological sites and forty water crossings.
- North Rim of the Grand Canyon – hundreds of miles of trails and beautiful vistas.
- The 30 Day Arctic Jeep Expedition – The Jeep Trip of a Lifetime!
- Kit Carson Trail – nearly two hundred miles from Bullhead City AZ to Barstow CA thru the Mojave Desert.
- Monument Valley – just envision tall spires and many John Wayne movies.
- Sea of Cortez – From the mouth of the Colorado River along the coastline to Puerto Penasco, Mexico
- Death Valley and many other places of interest in the South Western US.
- The Rubicon Trail – The even named a Jeep model for this epic trail – suitable for stock Wranglers!

- Baja 1000 plus. The plus is beginning at the California/Mexico border to Cabo San Lucas and back!

- and so many more – over 150 trips since 2007 !
Our group voted overwhelmingly in 2007 to move from a Yahoo Groups based club to a Web based club. At the same time we also voted to incorporate our club as a non-profit organization and trademark our name, our logo and d/b/a names. As part of the incorporation we will be limiting the size of our group to 100 members so that the majority of our members can be active participants in the future of our group. Members are expected to commit to no less than one Expedition per year with us. Part of being an active club member will include payment of dues which will provide money to pay for the website and BBS, and to helf fund groups that are fighting to keep trails open for everyone’s continued enjoyment of our great outdoors. Our dues payment is a reasonable amount and as much as half what many organized clubs charge members.
As a member of this group, you are notified of upcoming trails and have the first opportunity
to sign up for the limited number of Jeeps we allow per trip which usually is twenty to twenty-five.
Our trips all are off-road trails so 4×4 is necessary and Jeeps ARE required. We plan our trips so that stock Jeeps will do fine on all of the trails with maximum trail ratings of 3.5 on a scale of 5. Some of our trips will be featured in magazine articles and all of them will be listed on this website. While the many of our trips will be weekend trips of two to three days, Moab, Grand Canyon and a few others could range from five to seven days depending on the trails and distance. Our 2011 Arctic Circle/Alaska Expedition lasted 30 days and traveled over 10,000 miles! All of our trips are announced in advance with instructions for sign up on our Forums/BBS site. Our Forums/BBS requires registration to view or reply to postings.
